In 2012 I was approached by the Canadian toy company Round5 to work on the master toy line for the "Cut The Rope" game. Over the span of a year our R&D led us to 3 product catagories to focus on for the launch: plush, micro-figures, & a buildable play system. Our overall idea was to try and highlight the game as much as possible with the product through characters, features, or the "game" play itself.
I was put in lead of developing the various products within each line starting with the intial concepts (shown below) all the way through production files ready to hand over to the factory. There were countless sketches, drawings, control artwork, packging files and 3D models to manage since we were working on all 3 product lines at the same time. Working with the amazing team at Round5 we were able to develope 3 full lines with a lot of great product!
The Images below are of the final products matched with the intial concept artwork. It's great to see where the idea started, and what the final result ended up being. If you happen to spot these in your local toy isle, please pick them up!
